We build church websites for churches, ministries and religious organizations. Almost every first-time visitor to a church website wants the same three things, and they want them within a few seconds: when do you meet, where are you, and what will it be like if I walk in on Sunday.
Answer the newcomer's questions first
Service times, location and a plain description of what to expect are treated as the most important content on the site rather than something under an About page. Getting this right is the single highest-value decision in church web design, and it is the one most often missed.
Kept current by your own team
Sermons, events, announcements and giving information are all editable through the content management system by a volunteer or an office administrator, with no technical background required. Everything works properly on a phone, because a good share of your traffic is someone checking service times on a Sunday morning while getting the family into the car.
For people who cannot be there
Congregations now include people who attend from home some weeks, whether through illness, distance or work. Sermon audio and video can be published to the site and kept in an organized archive rather than disappearing into a social feed, and if you stream your services we can embed that on the site so nobody has to hunt for the link.
Ministries and groups within the church deserve their own pages, since a parent looking for children's provision and someone looking for a midweek group are on different errands. Each group can be kept current by whoever leads it, which spreads the work and keeps the site accurate without one person carrying it all.
We have been building and hosting websites since 1999, and we work with congregations of every size, including those where the site will be run by a volunteer. Contact us using the support button at the top of any page and we will talk through what your church or ministry needs.
