Privacy Statement
Last updated: April 23, 2026
This Privacy Statement explains how Venue Communications, Inc. ("Venue," "we," "us") collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you use our websites and products, including Venue Media Manager, Venue Marketing Platform, Venue Ticketing System, AutoBlog, and any other service we make available under the venue.cloud or venuecom.com domains.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you register for an account, contact support, or submit a form, we collect information such as your name, business name, email address, postal address, telephone number, and any other details you choose to provide.
Information collected automatically. Our web server records limited technical information for each visit, including the visitor's domain name, pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, screen size, and approximate country of origin. We do not use third-party analytics cookies or tracking pixels. IP addresses are used only for approximate geolocation and session grouping, and are never shared with outside parties.
Information from connected third-party accounts. Several of our products let you connect accounts you control on third-party platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Google, and others. When you connect one of those accounts, we receive and store the data described in the relevant platform section below. We only request the information and permissions we actually need to provide the feature you are using.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our products and services
- Authenticate you and secure your account
- Publish, schedule, and manage content or advertising on your behalf on third-party platforms you have connected
- Generate reports and performance insights for content and campaigns you have created
- Respond to your support requests and communicate with you about your account, billing, and service changes
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with our legal obligations
Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram)
Our Venue Media Manager and Venue Marketing Platform products integrate with Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram) through the Meta Graph API and Meta Marketing API. This section describes that integration specifically.
When we access Meta data. We only access your Facebook or Instagram data after you explicitly connect your account through Meta's OAuth login and grant the requested permissions. You can revoke that access at any time through your Facebook settings or by disconnecting the account inside Venue.
Permissions we request and why.
- pages_show_list — to display a list of Facebook Pages you manage so you can choose which one to connect.
- pages_read_engagement — to read basic information and engagement metrics about your connected Page so we can show performance data to you.
- pages_manage_posts — to publish and schedule posts on the Facebook Page you have connected, at your direction.
- instagram_basic — to identify the Instagram Business or Creator account linked to your connected Facebook Page.
- instagram_content_publish — to publish and schedule posts to your connected Instagram Business account, at your direction.
- ads_management — to create, edit, pause, and manage advertising campaigns inside the Meta Ad Accounts you have connected, at your direction.
- ads_read — to read campaign configuration and performance data from your connected Meta Ad Accounts so we can display it inside Venue.
What we store. When you connect a Meta account we store: your Meta user ID, Page IDs and Instagram account IDs you have connected, Ad Account IDs you have connected, the long-lived access token issued by Meta (encrypted at rest), the list of permissions you granted, images you upload to use in posts or ads, and the content of posts and ads you create inside Venue.
What we do with Meta data. We use Meta data only to operate the features you have asked us to perform on your behalf, such as publishing a post you composed, launching an ad campaign you built, or displaying your own performance metrics back to you. We do not sell, rent, or license Meta Platform data to any third party. We do not use Meta Platform data to build user profiles, enable advertising, enable tracking across unrelated sites, or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Sub-processors. Meta Platform data we store is held on the same infrastructure that hosts the rest of your Venue account. We do not route Meta data to third-party analytics or advertising networks.
Retention. We retain Meta access tokens and connected account metadata for as long as your Venue account is active and the connection is in place. If you disconnect the account in Venue or revoke access in Facebook, we delete the stored access token promptly. Campaign and post history you created inside Venue is retained until you delete it or close your Venue account.
Deletion. You can request deletion of Meta Platform data we hold about you at any time by following the instructions at venue.cloud/legal/data-deletion/.
Our use of information received from Meta APIs adheres to Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies, including the Limited Use requirements where applicable.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- With third-party platforms you have connected, such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google, or others, solely to carry out the action you have requested (for example, publishing a post or creating an ad).
- With service providers that help us operate the service (for example, our hosting provider) under confidentiality and data-handling obligations.
- When required by law, such as in response to a valid legal process, to protect the rights and safety of Venue, our users, or the public.
- In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger or sale of assets, in which case we will provide notice before personal information is transferred.
Venue Communications, Inc. does not sell, rent, or otherwise disclose its mailing lists to third parties.
